We are very exited to be able to offer your child an introduction to the 4-H Program in Monroe County! 4-H is a youth program that will help your child and/or children develop life skills, including communication, citizenship, leadership, decision-making, and the ability to cope with change. These skills are developed through fun and interactive experiences that happen year round in the 4-H Program with friends and caring adult volunteers. This is a great opportunity for all parents. The cost is a mere $20 per member with a maximum of $60 per family per year. 4-H is a family oriented organization that has something to offer everyone involved no matter where they live or what their interests may be!
There are 8 active 4-H clubs in Monroe County with guidance from 22 trained and caring 4-H club leaders. Monroe County has over 100 trained and experienced volunteers that help in various aspects such as specialized project areas, group activities, committee and council members...the list is endless!
