Wash served formally as 4-H leader and county committee member. She has been a "behind the scene" worker for over 45 years in the Monroe County 4-H Program. Whether it is helping members in the Melrose community in refinishing workshops, serving on the Monore County Extension Council, helping 4-H members with their projects or making a donation for the Monore County Fairground improvements and 4-H scholarship fund. Deanie has a love for young people and with her family by her side, serving her community in many ways year after year. All five of her children, grandchildren and now, great grandchildren were or now in the Monroe County 4-H program.
