The Eco Family Conference will help families make attitude and behavior changes that will ultimately improve the environment, human health and family finances. The Eco Family Conference begins Thursday, January 5 and will be held once a month through June. 
Troy Troopers Elect Officers (Posted on 12/14/2011)
The Troy Troopers 4-H Club recently elected their officer team for the 2011-2012 4-H year.

The 4-H club is planning their annual Christmas Event scheduled for Monday, January 2nd beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church. The group is open to all youth grades 4th - 12th. This would be a great opportunity for anyone interested in joining this fantastic youth group! When weekends, school breaks and summer are added together, kids spend many hours outside of school walls. How this time is spent affects their growth and development, as well as their success at school. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offers a monthly newsletter during the school year, September through May, to help parents help their children become better learners.

The NEST Program is a free program, which helps pregnant mothers preparefor the arrival of their baby and mothers of children up to 5 years of age. The program encourages early entry into the healthcare system, education and awareness.

Every five years the USDA and Health and Human Services update and release the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. New Dietary Guidelines encourage more fruits and vegetables and less sodium.
