Registrations are currently being accepted for Monroe County Leadership Academy 2014, a program designed to maximize the strengths and skills of current and future community leaders.
Monroe County Leadership Academy 2014 is a series of 4 weekly sessions focusing on topics such as leadership in the local context, communicating and listening, leading development in the community and anatomy of economic development. The sessions will be held on March 18, March 25, April 1 and April 8. Dinner will be provided from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm and the program will run from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Monroe County Extension Office at 219 B Ave West in Albia.
The Beginning and Young Livestock Producer Network, an ISU Extension and Outreach initiative, establishes peer groups of young producers because livestock producers say they like to learn from other producers. They want to have more discussions and opportunities to interact with their peers.
