County News

June 19, 2017

It is so hard to believe that we are already headed for July!  I thought I should touch base with a few basics on your department.  We had a first-rate response to this department!  We have 12 bucket calves identified and 4 bucket calves + 1 project.  This will make for a great show on Saturday, July 29.

also please see side bar for some important forms regarding your Bucket Calf project for the Monroe County 4-H & FFA Fair.

Just for your information judging is based on:

            1.  Members Essay (Due June 30th to the Extension Office)

             2. What the member has learned about care and raising of the calf.

            3.  General health, condition and management of the calf and the members

                   Knowledge gained.

             4. You may also do a poster

Confirmation or quality of the calf will not be considered.
