Children are exposed to hazards on the farm as well as their parents doing work on the farm. No matter where you are, you should always take precautions in being safe from accidents. In an effort to make children more award of safety on the farm and home, I.S.U. Monona County Extension offers a Progressive Ag Safety Day to area schools in rotation. Maple Valley Elementary students were given the opportunity to go to different sessions to learn about how to stay safe. There were many safe practices they learned about in the 2 day event in April 2009.
