This is the fifteenth year that the foundation is pleased to present college scholarships to eligible 4-H members.  For 2013, sixteen graduating seniors in Monona County met the eligibility requirements of 4-H participation, high school grades, and enrollment in post secondary education or a military branch to receive scholarships in the amount of $250 each.

Graduation includes new financial responsibilities and changes in family roles. This publication includes financial tips for parents regarding insurance, credit, banking services, and taxes. It is not intended to be inclusive of all the financial decisions families will face, but should start you on the road to making the necessary adjustments that will avoid costly omissions and unexpected bills. Congratulations on reaching a new milestone for your family.

A soup supper was held on March 9, 2013 at the Blencoe Community Building in Blencoe to support the Monona County Fair.  Nearly $500 were raised the night of the soup supper with additional matching funds of $200 received through Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Monona County Chapter.

MidLife & Beyond: Generation Connection
Monona County Extension sponsored a program called Mid Life & Beyond which resulted in a special project with West Monona School.  Generation Connection is designed to connect generations by connecting high school seniors providing a helping hand to 60+ seniors in the community.  If you would like to request help, see how this special project can help.
