Monona County students who are currently in grades 4th-6th are invited to participate in an upcoming babysitting workshop. The class will offer hands-on instruction to help students make decisions about babysitting and become prepared to take on the important responsibility of babysitting.

In an effort to make children more aware of safety on the farm and home, ISU Extension in Monona County hosted Progressive Agriculture Safety Days at West Monona School at Central on Friday, April 19 and Friday, April 26 in the afternoons for 3rd to 5th graders.

Every June, more than 1,000 teenagers converge on the Iowa State University campus for three days full of speakers, workshops, mixers, dances, a banquet and community service activities. The 2013 Iowa 4-H Youth Conference, titled Unmask Your Opportunities, will begin June 25 and continue through June 27.

MidLife & Beyond: Generation Connection
Monona County Extension sponsored a program called Mid Life & Beyond which resulted in a special project with West Monona School.  Generation Connection is designed to connect generations by connecting high school seniors providing a helping hand to 60+ seniors in the community.  If you would like to request help, see how this special project can help.
