Monona County Extension Brings Iowa State University To You

Welcome - The Monona County Extension and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach helps the people in Monona County and the state of Iowa in many ways.  The 2011 Monona County Stakeholder's Report  summarizes the programs, events, and efforts.  Developing partners in these events has increased participation, cooperative ventures for programs, and positive attitudes in Monona County.

Monona County Extension is also a part of Region 5 that consists of Monona, Plymouth and Woodbury County.  These counties are led by Sherry McGill, REED.

Past 4-H'ers Entertain At 4-H Leader Volunteer Banquet

The annual 4-H Volunteer Leader’s Recognition Banquet was held Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa with around sixty 4-H volunteers, leaders and spouses attending. Special recognition was extended to all adult volunteers who support the Youth and 4-H program of Monona County.

Private Pesticide Applicator Training is Scheduled for March 7, 2012

The second Private Pesticide Applicator Training will be held at the West Monona High School Auditorium in Onawa, IA. The training will begin at 7:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM.
