3rd Annual AttendThis! Event was a Success on Sunday

January 20th was a busy day in Malvern Iowa!  It was filled with numerous activities and events. We had 5 awesome judges- Liz Baldwin, Julie Neuhalfen, Kelly Stortenbecker, Renee Pearce and Holly Vinton.  Liz did the Wear This! judging and had 10 participate in the event.  They were able to attend a clothing workshop by Allie Ford prior to the judging.  Kelly had the very difficult job of the BakeThis! entries.  Imagine having to taste, judge and determine a winner of 20+ desserts- including a breat deal of multi-layer cakes from scratch and more!  Julie, Renee and Holly each had to judge the SetThis! entries- all wonderful tablesettings based on the theme of the participants choice.  Menus, table setting, design and more all included!  There were 16 tables in the running. 

Thank goodness for the Mills County Council members for keeping it all humming like a machine.  They really had a tough job, but did it with style.  Their new Council shirts are awesome!  Thanks Brandon, Brett, Corey, Dane, Hannah , Hunter , Jessika , Mitch , Molly and Nick.  Lisa Sorensen and Connie Bichel made it happen.

The parents were treated to a meeting of very useful 4H information thanks to Sherry Ford!  Nick  and Mitch  also did a great job sharing their own experiences.

The new members were given their own hands-on 4H experience thanks to Stephanie Bowden and the CREW, formerly known as Leadership Team.  They are all in grades 7-9 and really stepped up by providing special games led by Matt, Haleigh, Molly. They designed working exhibits led by Aaron, Ashleigh , Elizabeth, Justin, Jessica, Faith, Joe and Ben,. To end the program, they were shown how to do an educational presentation by Chrissy.
