Iowa State University Extension and Outreach offers child care provider training, which has been approved by the Department of Human Services and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).  The training helps providers identify, recognize and implement best practices relative to nutrition, physical activity, health and safety for children under their care. An upcoming training, “Gardening with Children”, will be held in Glenwood at the YMCA, 110 Sivers St., on June 2.

ACES afterschool is offering 2 great sessions- Super Heroes and Chopped- at 2 locations- Northeast Elementary School for 1st & 2nd graders.  Also at West Elementary School for 3rd-5th graders.  These are the last ACES being offered this school year.  Sign up quickly as spots are filling fast!
