Yes, that is what a real piglet sounds like, the goat does have course fur.  These things and more are learned in a great hands-on way at the Vinton Farm.  The Mills County 1st graders get a great tour, thanks to a grant from Farm Bureau, Steve and Carol Vinton and Sherry Ford.

Food tastings will feature heirloom tomatoes, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, corn, beans and squash.  Homeowners looking for new and heirloom plants to try in their yards and gardens will have a nice variety of vegetables and flowers to view at the annual field day.

The Mills County Food and Farm Partnership are sponsiring this wonderful event.  Spend a lovely summer Saturday, touring our beautiful county and visit farms with differing crops and share in some food and fun!  Saturday August 15th from 9-1pm, enjoy your self guided tour of 6 local farms.
