Grant Writing 101 will provide hands-on training in seeking and writing successful grant applications.  The workshop will be presented from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Bloom Senior Center, 25 N Vine St., in Glenwood, IA.   The program is sponsored by the city of Pacific Junction and Iowa State University Extension & Outreach; Mills County.

To help those working with young children understand childhood stress and learn strategies for helping reduce stress for children in their care, the Mills County Extension and Outreach, in collaboration with the Booster 4 Families Early Childhood Iowa, will be offering a 2-hour class titled Big Worries in a Little World. “Anyone caring for young children is welcome and encouraged to attend,” Brantner said. “We’re excited to be able to collaborate to offer this opportunity to family child care professionals, as well as center and preschool staff,” Brantner added.

Teen club members are beginning to gather and feel the excitement begin as they plan for their trip to Washington DC in June 2019.  Youth who are eligible for the trip are currently in grades 7-10.  Teen club and their fun activities are open to all High School aged 4Hers.
