Study circles are an effective way to empower community members to identify issues and take positive action. They provide people an opportunity to talk together and find ways to make their community a place where peo-ple want to live during mid life and beyond.
Study circles are a facilitated discussion, but are not focus groups. Participants meet in groups of 8-12 people led by two trained facilitators.
Participants in five study circles in Mills and Wayne counties piloted a newly developed study guide, A Community for People Midlife and Beyond in spring/summer 2011. Learn what they said about their Study Circles experience.
