Trust in a Mentoring Relationship

In a truly empowered organization teams are brought together to fulfill a specific mission.  The people operate in an atmosphere of openness and trust with lots of feedback.  Mentors and mentees are teams within ISU Extension.  In order for you to reach established goals, you too must operate with openness and trust.  Effective mentoring is possible only when a learning relationship is built and nurtured.  For more information about trust in a mentoring relationship, refer to pages 123 and 124 in The Mentor's Guide by Lois J. Zachary.
