With the national recall of fresh shell eggs, it is a good time to make sure you are handling your eggs with care. If you are following the safe food-handling practices for eggs, they are a safe, inexpensive, protein-packed food to eat. Remember, the recall was a precaution. The risk of contamination from bacteria salmonella is historically low- 1 in every 20,000 eggs
