May 13, is Day 10 for all participants of the combined Parnering with Parents and the Family Development Certification Training. This session accesses specialized services and effective leadership skills.

Intensive training to certify family development workers who make home visits to assist families access services they need; 8 days of training offered over four months

05/15/2008- Livestock ID Forms Due
All livestock ID Forms are due into the Extension Office.

05/15/2008- A Landscape Design Walk-about with Master Gardeners
The Marshall County Master Gardener Club will host a landscape design walk-about given by Emilie Justen, an ISU Horticulture graduate student. Emilie will explain "good and bad" landscape features and ways to improve the "bad" aspects of the design as well as ways to enhance plain areas during a tour of a local yard and garden.

05/15/2008- Family Day Care Enviromental Rating Scale Training
Training series for family daycare providers on the use of the FDCERS instrument for self-assessment. Completion of course and homework qualifies participant for QRS credit.

05/15/2008- GPS, Ready to Navigate
GPS skills and navigation skills taught to State Center youth.

05/20/2008- Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
Panelist program for young 5-12th grade girls on careers. Program coordinated through American Association of University Women.

05/27/2008- Partnering with Parents Program and Family Development Certification Training
May 27, is Day 12 for all participants of the combined Parnering with Parents and the Family Development Certification Training. This session will include financial stability, family well-being, building support and care for self and profession.
