The February 10-11 retreat brings together 4-H volunteers, staff, parents, & intermediate & senior 4-H members. Great workshops and networking! Cost is $10 total for two day event. Registration deadline is January 20.

02/11/2012- 4-H New Volunteer Training
4-H information and tools are shared with new 4-H volunteers in the required training as part of your their first year 4-H volunteer experience. Offered during the State 4-H Retreat. This training is FREE!

02/11/2012- Fishing Club
Whether this is your first experience with the club or if you have been participating in the past…you are all invited to participate. Participants must be in 4th grade or older.

02/15/2012- Confinement Site Manure Applicators Training
State law requires confinement site (private) manure applicators to be certified to handle, haul, transport or apply manure coming from a confinement faciltiy with more than 500 animal units. This workshop will qualifty for initial certification, continuing education and recertification requirements in Iowa.

Continuing Instruction Course for Categories 4 and 10. Pre-Registration is required.

02/26/2012- 4-H Beef it Up Workshop
Learn about quality grade and yield grade. Look at carcasses. Learn what to feed your animal. Enjoy taste testing at a Beast Feast. Attire: closed toed shoes, no dangling earrings, and dress in layers to go into meat coolers Inclement Weather: No snow date. If cancelled, money will be refunded.
