A gardener's cleaning chores are not over until the tools are cleaned, sharpened and put away for winter so that they are ready the moment spring arrives. Fortunately, this last garden chore isn't weather dependent — it can be done anytime indoors. Morel Mushroom Certification Workshops Scheduled for March and April

Individuals who would like to be able to sell morel mushrooms legally within the state of Iowa can take a three-hour certification workshop in March or April. Workshops are being offered at several locations across the state.

Elwynn Taylor to Speak at ISU Northern Research Farm Annual Meeting

The Iowa State University Northern Research and Demonstration Farm will hold its association annual meeting and an educational program on March 8 at the Duncan Hall in Duncan Iowa. The program will begin at 9 a.m. and adjourn at 2 p.m.; lunch will be provided.
Connect to Nature at February Virtual Eco Family Conference

Annual Forest Stewardship Conference Is March 10, 2012

The 2012 Tri-State Forest Stewardship Conference is Saturday, March 10 at Sinsinawa Mound Center, Sinsinawa, Wis. One of the largest private woodland owner conferences in the nation, it  will cover a wide range of forestry and wildlife topics including timber marketing in today’s economy.
