The 2016 Tri-County Junior 4-H Camp for Boone, Hardin, Marshall and Story Counties, is August 10-12 at the Des Moines YMCA Camp northwest of Boone.

5th and 6th grade 4-H members from eight counties (Benton, Boone, Greene, Hardin, Linn, Marshall, Story & Tama) are invited to participate in a campout at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska June 3-4 .  4-H’ers will sleep near the animals and experience the Henry Doorly Zoo in a fun new way!     They will experience the Lozier IMAX Theater.  The screen is as tall as four giraffes and as wide as seven rhinos.  There are six speakers that each weigh as much as a Siberian Tiger.  You won’t want to miss this!  For trip questions, please contact Natalie Hedlund or (515) 432-3882.

The 2016 Intermediate Trip will be taking place June 6th - 8th in Twin Cities.  On this trip, youth will have the opportunity to meet 7th & 8th grade 4-H'ers from nine counties (Boone, Hamilton, Humboldt, Hardin, Marshall, Story, Tama, Webster, and Wright) all while discovering the many great attractions of Minneapolis & St. Paul.

Iowa's AgDiscovery program helps teenagers learn about careers in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Laboratory Technology and Wildlife Ecology. Students live on the Iowa State University campus and learn from university professors, scientists who work for the U.S. government, and local agricultural producers and animal welfare and management organizations.
