FSQA
4-H’ers enrolled in any meat animal project must meet Food Safety & Quality Assurance requirements to be eligible to show at the Iowa State Fair. This includes anyone enrolled in poultry, rabbits, meat goats, beef, bucket calf, sheep, swine, dairy cattle, and dairy goats. Additionally, any swine exhibitor must go through FSQA in order to show at the county fair. The age of the 4-H’er is as of January 1, 2008.
· 4-H’ers who are 9, 10, and 11 years of age must attend a FSQA training each year until they are 12 years old.
· 4-H’ers who are 12, 13, or 14 years of age may continue to attend a training yearly or they can test out. Once they pass the test, they are certified until they are 15 years old.
· 4-H’ers who are 15, 16, 17, or 18 years of age may continue to attend a training yearly or they can test out. Once they pass the test, they do not have to test again.

· March 25th, 5-7 p.m. at Dyer-Hudson
