FIRST Lego League (FLL) is for any youth in 4th-6th grade.  Some of the teams meet at the former Curves location (LEGO Lab) in the Penn Central Mall.  They meet to gain teamwork, communication, and leadership skills and knowledge in engineering, computers, and Lego Mindstorms Robotics.  The members work with adult and youth volunteer coaches to gain skills needed to build and program their own Lego Robot.  Members do all of the hands-on work and take ownership in their roles.  They learn about gracious professionalism and will compete at regional and/or state events.
We are in need of adult and youth volunteers to assist with FLL.  If you are interested, please let Amy know by calling 641/673-5841 ext. 28 or email vermeera@iastate.edu.  All adult volunteers must complete and pass an Extension background screening.  More help=More teams!
