Character Counts Raised Beds- Raised beds have been built and set in place on the north side of the Enabling Garden.  Each bed contains plants that represent each Pillar of Character.

ABC Garden-Kids Corner Day Care Center came to the enabling garden site to help plant the ABC Garden.  Each child picked a plant to transplant. They also made a sign to label their plants. The children are very proud of their plants and all enjoyed a beautiful morning in the garden.

Youth Garden - Junior Master Gardeners established 4 themed (Pizza, Salsa, Salad, Three Sisters) beds in the corners, and additional crops are planted are planted in the remaining raised beds.

Bog Garden- The bog has been dredged to hold water. We are awaiting rock to line the sides and have ordered the water plants. The garden should be planted 2006.

Sensory Garden-The biggest piece of the John F. Lacey Enabling Garden has finally been completed. The five raised beds, each containing plants that appeal to one of the senses, have been planted by children from Imagine the Possibilities.  The sensory garden is designed to be used for horticultural programming with individuals with visual impairment, physical handicaps or mental handicaps.
