The 4th Annual Mahaska County 4-H & FFA Gala will be held on Friday, March 13.  This event is the major fundraising event for the 2015 Southern Iowa Fair 4-H & FFA Youth Shows Fund.  Full details and a list of Silent Auction items can be found by clicking the link above.
This fund covers the cost of 4-H and FFA judges, premiums, trophies, banners, and plaques for the Southern Iowa Fair.

The "Raising a Thinking Child," two hour program for child care providers, was desgned to share tools for child care providers to help their children solve daily conflicts, explore alternative solutions and consider the feelings of others.

All Kindergarten-3rd Graders are invited to take part in the STEAMblast Day Camp on March 16-18 at the Extension office.  Cost is only $20 and includes a lot of hands-on activities, experiments, crafts, games, snacks, and fun!  Camp is limited to 20, so register TODAY!

Youth and their families are invited to spend Saturday, March 28 with us at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Oskaloosa for STEAMfestThis event is FREE and open to the public and will be held from 10am-2pm.  We will have hands-on interactive booths, stage entertainment, and activity rooms at this event, which will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math.  We will have a grand prize giveaway at the end of the day, so you won't want to miss out.  Lots of fun activities are being planned.  Any 4th-12th grade who registers for 4-H at the event will receive 1/2 off the enrollment fee!  Click the STEAMfest logo for more details!
