The 4th Annual Mahaska County 4-H & FFA Gala will be held on Friday, March 13.  This event is the major fundraising event for the 2015 Southern Iowa Fair 4-H & FFA Youth Shows Fund.  Full details and a list of Silent Auction items can be found by clicking the link above.
This fund covers the cost of 4-H and FFA judges, premiums, trophies, banners, and plaques for the Southern Iowa Fair.

Learning about art helps children improve their ability to notice and observe things around them, express their creative ideas, develop language skills, build their self-confidence, and use problem-solving and reasoning skills. Participants will learn to introduce and talk with children of all ages, even infants, about art made by them and others.

Youth and their families are invited to spend Saturday, March 28 with us at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Oskaloosa for STEAMfestThis event is FREE and open to the public and will be held from 10am-2pm.  We will have hands-on interactive booths, stage entertainment, and activity rooms at this event, which will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math.  We will have a grand prize giveaway at the end of the day, so you won't want to miss out.  Lots of fun activities are being planned.  Any 4th-12th grade who registers for 4-H at the event will receive 1/2 off the enrollment fee!  Click the STEAMfest logo for more details!
