This is a new form that has been created by the Mahaska County 4-H Youth Committee.  Form must be signed by member and parent/guardian by Friday, June 14, 2013.  You may either sign a paper form or e-sign the document in our webform.  Click the clover to find more information.

4-H Clubs will have vehicles in the parking lots at the Extension office on Saturday, June 22 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM, where they will be selling a variety of items.  All proceeds will benefit the 4-H club treasuries.  In case of rain, this event will be cancelled.

The Mahaska County Master Gardeners will offer a workshop on making rain barrels Tuesday, June  4 or Monday June  24, 2013 at 7 pm at the Mahaska County Extension Office; 212 North I Street; Oskaloosa. Pre-Registration is required, please call 641-673-5841 to reserve your spot!

Informational meeting featuring Dr. Dennis Todey, Extension Climatologist at South Dekota State University and Don Roose, President with US Commodities in West Des Moines, IA.  This meeting is designed to hep participants develop and implement crop risk price risk management strategies for the 2013 crop.  This program targets Central Iowa growers and other agribusiness professionals.

The OskyBots FIRST Lego League (FLL) is for any youth in 4th-8th grade.  They meet at the YMCA in Oskaloosa weekly to gain teamwork, communication, and leadership skills and knowledge in engineering, computers, and Lego Mindstorms Robotics.  The members work with adult and youth volunteer coaches to gain skills needed to build and program their own Lego Robot.  Members do all of the hands-on work and take ownership in their roles.  They learn about gracious professionalism and will compete at regional and/or state events.
