2017 Summer Day Camps in Madison County

 

Computer Science Day Camp

Grades 4-7 (Fall of 2017)

During this day camp, youth will learn about computer science & coding in Blockly using tablets and robots. Youth will learn about debugging, algorithms, and order of operations. Youth will explore coding with Dash and Dot, robots from The Wonder Workshop. In addition, youth will practice collaboration and communication by working towards a common goal with their peers.
 
Registration costs $20, which includes two snacks and all equipment. Registering two or more youth? Pay only $15 for additional youth registrations.
 
Youth are asked to bring a sack lunch. Check in is from 8-8:30 AM. Youth are dismissed promptly at 4 PM.
Registration is limited to the first 16 youth participants per location. Registration Deadline: June 12, 2017
 

4-H Innovators Day Camp

Grades 5-8 (Fall of 2017)

During this day camp, youth will have the opportunity to solve real-life engineering challenges by constructing bridges, boats, food packaging, towers, and more. Youth will build, test, revise, and retest prototypes. They will practice collaboration and communication by working towards a common goal with their peers.
 
Registration costs $25, which includes two snacks and all materials needed for this event. Registering two or more youth? Pay only $20 for additional youth registrations.
 
Youth are asked to bring a sack lunch. Check in is from 8-8:30 AM. Youth are dismissed promptly at 4 PM.
Registration is limited to the first 25 youth participants per location. Registration Deadline: July 24, 2017
