Help Wanted:  Summer Assistant

If you like kids and want a job for the summer, the summer assistant position working with the ISU Extension - Lyon County may be for you. This position assists and conducts 4-H and youth activities and preparation for the Lyon County Fair. Qualifications: work with youth, flexibility in schedule, basic computer skills, ability to travel within Lyon County. 4-H experience preferred, but not mandatory. 30 hours a week with a flexible schedule. Help Wanted:  Summer Horticulture Assistant Position

The position involves taking care of the ISU Research and Demonstration Garden located at the Lyon County Fair Grounds. The assistant will report and work closely with the Horticulture Educator and Lyon County Extension Staff to carry out the following responsibilities:  water and weed the garden, mow the grass alongside the garden, and assist the horticulture educator with mulching, pest control monitoring, harvest and end of the season cleanup.
