4-H’ers from Southeast Iowa in 10 - 12 grade have an awesome opportunity to go to Washington, D.C. June 11 - 19, 2010. You will stay at the National 4-H Center in Chevy Chase, MD, visit Gettysburg, Mount Vernon, the war and presidential memorials, and the Smithsonian Museums. You will spend an evening at the Kennedy Center and tour the Holocaust Museum. There will be an opportunity to visit the nation’s capitol, and meet the people who represent Iowa.
Cost of this exciting trip is $770 for Lucas County 4-H’ers. Lucas County can send two delegates and send in names for alternates as space becomes available on the bus.
Applications and a $100 deposit are due in the Extension Office November 23.
