Chariton Valley Beef LLC is a partnership of five farmers from an area south of Des Moines, Iowa. The mission is to provide increased and more stable income for farmers by raising, processing and marketing high quality beef to consumers who want to purchase locally grown products. We have recently had some initial success in developing a new type of market, selling directly to people who work at corporate facilities in the Des Moines area, for home consumption. This type of market represents a breakthrough in our efforts because it allows us relatively easy access to larger numbers of consumers.
