Register now for the Master Gardener Training offered through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach!


Complete training & volunteer internship to earn the title of Master Gardener volunteer.

Core Training Specifics:

  • Tuesday evenings, September - November, 2016
  • One, all-day training in Ames October 8 or 22nd
  • 40 hours of horticulture training & training manual
  • Taught by ISU educators and local experts

Master Gardener Training:

  • $195 fee for 40-hour training course.
  • Participants must complete a 40 hours internship upon completion of the course.
  • To maintain active status each year you must complete 10 hours of continuing education and 20 volunteer hours.
