: All swine that will be shown at the fair must be identified with a 4-H ear tag and the animal - ™s ear notches must be included on identification record. Families in Louisa County have a choice this year for identifying pigs: Bring to the check-in on April 20th or identify at home. Contact Tessa before April 19th as to which choice you are making. Below are brief details on each option. Check-In: April 20th 7:30 - 9:00 am, Louisa County Fairgrounds, $1.25 for each ear tag (county fair only,),15 hog maximum. Pigs will be tagged, ear notches will be read & identification will be recorded. ****Pigs must be ear notched before the check-in. Identify at Home: Before April 19th contact Tessa. At this contact you will need to arrange to purchase & pick-up the ear tags, schedule check-out of a tagger (if you need one) and be prepared to correctly record identification information. Record animal identification data in your 4honline member record or record by paper form.
