  • Financial management information is available from Ag Decision Maker to evaluate and manage financial stress of the farming operation.  Find tools for preparing financial statements and talking to your lender and assistance in making tough decisions.

  • Farm Financial Planning is Iowa State University Extension’s farm financial analysis program. It consists of one-on-one financial counseling, a computerized analysis of the farm business, and referral to other extension programs or outside services that may be useful.  Thanks to a grant from CF Industries this service is available to farmers at no charge.

  • Legal and tax issues are important during tough times.  The Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation (CALT) provides timely, objective information to producers, professionals and agribusinesses on agricultural law and taxation.  The site has information about contracts, liens and bankruptcy and related topics. 

  • Dairy financial management resources help producers asess costs and business decisions. Presentations and tools can help producers evaluate their operations and make plans for the future.
