Veterinary Experience Workshop
WHEN: Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 9am to 3pm.
WHO: Students in grades 7-12 are invited to attend.
WHAT: Students will spend the day learning about different veterinary disciplines. They will rotate between stations that will include anatomy of different species, how to do a physical exam, animal identification, pathology of diseases, surgery and broken bones, and how veterinary public health spans the species barrier. Students will also get the opportunity to tour the ISU veterinary school.
WHERE: Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, IA.
COST: A $15 registration fee will cover all the day’s activities, lunch, and a t-shirt.
If you or your students would like to attend, please fill out the attached registration form and return before March 8, 2013. Participation will be capped at 150, so the earlier you get it turned in the better.
