On Their Own and OK is designed to prepare children to be home alone when their parent is at work. Topics covered in this class include communication, safety, ways to deal with boredom, preparing snacks and how to handle small emergencies. 
Activities are included for children to complete at home with a parent.

FOR:  Youth between the ages of 9-13
(open to older youth who need education in staying home by themselves)

CLASS DATES AND LOCATIONS:
Hiawatha Public Library • 150 W Willman Street • Hiawatha, IA

July 28-30, 2014 • 1:00-3:00pm (children need to attend all 3 sessions)
