Parenting Young Children WORKSHOP

We want to support you as the first and most important teacher of your young children.  At Parent Education Consortium, we know how important your role is during the early years in preparing your children for a successful K-12 experience.  We are pleased to partner with the Grant Wood Elementary to bring in professional parent educator, Mary Andres to provide a FREE 6-week series of small group meetings called “Parenting Young Children (Birth-under 6 years old)” Your entire family is invited to participate.  A FREE meal, childcare and program materials provided. The program is open to anyone with at least one child under 6 years of age, so feel free to share information about the program with friends, family, or neighbors.

• Understanding Child  Development and Behavior   
• Teaching Responsibility to Children and Setting Limits
• Examining Parenting Styles and Behaviors
• Communicating with your Kids
• Guidance and Discipline Techniques
• Creating Environments that Encourage Child Growth

MEETING DATES: Thursday Evenings, May 1 - June 5, 2014
Time:  5:30- 7:45 PM
 
EACH MEETING INCLUDES:

  • Dinner for the Entire Family at 5:30-6:00 PM
  • Parent/Child Activity 6:00-6:30 PM
  • Parent Group/Childcare 6:30-7:45 PM

Pre-Registration is required:
