Food Safety Certification Short Course
Iowa State University Extension & Outreach will be offering a one day certification course on food safety for food service managers in Cedar Rapids. ServSafe is a national certification program made available through the National Restaurant Association. ServSafe is one of the industry’s strongest educational programs. Certification is good for five years.

Course costs $150.00 ($100.00 for current Iowa Restaurant Association members) and is due to the Linn County Extension office 1 week prior to class.
The registration fee includes 8 hours of training, the Serv Safe Essentials manual, the exam and certification. The course will be taught by Rachel Wall, ISU Extension & Outreach Nutrition and Health Program Specialist. ISU Extension also offers a food safety course for food service workers. Safe Food is a course that covers the topics of temperature control, sanitation, and personal hygiene. This two hour course is presented as requested. Cost is $35.00 per person. Sessions are individually scheduled by contacting Rachel Wall at (319) 377-9839 or email@example.com.
