Café 361

Cafe 361 Cedar Rapids Iowa

Café 361 was started in 2013 by a group of middle school girls who were passionate about cooking and community service. When the Cedar Rapids School district has an early release on Wednesdays, the girls gather in the kitchen of First Congregational Church in Wellington Heights and make a community meal.

Join us for dinner at Café 361:
April 9 • April 30 • May 7 • May 21.
Dinners take place at 5:30pm.

The café is hosted at the site of the:
Boys and Girls Club of Cedar Rapids
361 17th St SE
Cedar Rapids, IA 52403
Please RSVP to romanski@iastate.edu or fccfamily@qwest.net if you are interested in attending a community dinner.

At Café 361, the girls learn the actual process of meal preparation:
• cooking
• table setting
• serving
• cleaning up

But that is not the only thing Café 361 is about. They are learning leadership skills that will last an entire lifetime:
• self confidence
• communication skills
• conflict resolution
• problem solving and more
