Jones County will be hosting a Cattle Show this Saturday, June 3rd in Monticello, Iowa. If you are a beef exhibitor this is a great opportunity to show your animal before fair.

All poultry exhibited at the Lee County Fair must come from U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid clean or equivalent flocks, or have had a negative Pullorum-Typhoid test within 90 days of public exhibition and the test must have been performed by an authorized tester.

The Teen County Council Team has put together some tips to help members while preparing for fair. Remember that spending time with your animals prior to fair is very important. They have provided tips for showing livestock, art hall, and communication projects.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach are teaming up to provide training for pork producers and others who need certification in either Pork Quality Assurance Plus program or Transport Quality Assurance. A certification session for each has been set on Tuesday, June 6, in Henry County.

On Friday, May 5, 153 students from Lincoln, Richardson, and Holy Trinity Elementary Schools gathered for the opportunity to learn about agriculture, natural resources, farm/road safety and so much more at the Lee County Fairgrounds.
