Master Gardener Class offered this winter

The Master Gardener Program will be offered in Lee County this coming winter. The first class willbe held on January 5th and run through March 26th.

2009 Garden Calendar Now Available

The ISU Extension Garden Calendar is more than just a beautiful calendar. It is a wonderful resource and handbook for gardening tips, publications, horticulture help-lines, a to do list by month, and landscaping reference. This year the theme of the 2009 calendar is color. Once again the calendar is very unique to Iowa which makes it a great gift.

Stalk Quality Tested

Farmers will want to consider not only grain moisture when selecting fields for harvest but will want to monitor stalk quality as well when determining harvest.
