4-H Award Winners

The 4-H Youth Development Program in Lee County recognized its top members and volunteers at its Annual Awards Banquet in February. 4-H leaders, members, their families, and friends attended the event at the Pilot Grove Savings Bank Community Room in Donnellson. The banquet included an awards ceremony, dinner, and entertainment from hypnotist Dan Ladd. The meal was provided by the Lee County Pork Producers, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and the Lee County 4-H Cooking Club.

Award recipients were selected for their 4-H projects, attendance, leadership, citizenship, and achievement. "The Annual Banquet is a great way for our 4-H members to be recognized for the hard work they put into the program throughout the entire 4-H year," said Emily Hulsebus, Lee County Youth Educator for ISU Extension and Outreach. "The various awards represent the wide range of opportunities 4-H offers our members, from science and agriculture to leadership, communication, and citizenship."
