Keokuk County Extension is partnering with Alliant Energy to provide the Operation Releaf program in Keokuk County. Alliant Energy customers may order up to 2 trees per household through the program for $25.00 per tree. A limited number of trees are available. Trees must be picked up at the Keokuk County Expo grounds on May 23, 2013. For more information please contact the Keokuk County Extension Office at 641-622-2680. Iowa State University Extension & Outreach in Keokuk County has moved to its new office located on the Expo Fairgrounds on the east edge of Sigourney.

The Keokuk Master Gardeners have published a Wild Flower book. There are 28 wild flowers in this book, with descriptions of the flowers, where to find them and when they will bloom. This book is a way to get youth interested in outdoor activities, horticulture and wild flowers. There is a scavenger hunt with scoring for finding the flowers in the book.

Clover Kids is a FUN 4-H program for children in kindergarten through third grade. Children participate in hands-on activities designed to build lots of different life skills! Clover Kids also participate in activities, games, and other positive experiences in a supportive, creative, challenging and fun environment.
