06/11/2008- Livestock Showmanship/Safety Day Camp (Clover Kids and 4-H Members only)
Come learn about feed, first aid for you and your animals and everything you need to know about swine, cattle, horses, goats, sheep, poultry, rabbits, and bucket bottle calves and lambs. This is a great camp to prepare you for the 2008 Expo, especially if this is your first time! You will also have the chance to become FSQA certified from 1-3 pm.
06/17/2008- Fishing Frenzy Day Camp (2nd through 5th grade)
If you like fishing this camp is for you! Campers will learn how to identify fish, make fish printed t-shirts (bring your own white t-shirt). campers will also learn about water quality and testing. campers will have lunch provided to them by one of our featured guest helpers, the Kiwanis Club. What could be better than swimming and canoeing on a hot summer day! Come to camp and find out! Local lifeguards, park rangers and an EMT will teach you about swimming safety, canoeing safety and first aid! Buzz into the Hedrick Library and learn what the buzz is all about! The focus of this camp is INSECTS and BEES! Discuss insects and build a paper bug. 07/30/2008- Exploring the Future Day Camp (2nd-5th grades)
This will be a hands on exploration into the future! We will be building water powered cars and solar powered cars. Does anyone know how they work? Have races and learn how they work! There's a new way to cook hot dogs, got any ideas? Learn how to assemble and launch rockets! Making a cool snack to cool off after this activity driven camp! (
