Jones County Extension and Outreach and the Jones County Conservation board are offering "Outdoor Wondercation" to  kids in 4th grade through 12th grade in Jones County.  Programs begin in January with Winter Survival and Snowshoeing and continue through June with a Canoeing Adventure. Pre-registration is required for each program. Space is limited. There is a $10.00 registration fee for each program offered. Call the Jones County Extension office to reserve your spot at 319-465-3224.

The Farm Bill – Program Overview meetings will focus on the Price Loss Coverage (PLC) and Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) that will be administered by USDA Farm Service Agency, and the Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) administered by USDA Risk Management Agency through federal crop insurance providers.

The Jones County Extension Council is seeking a qualified individual to provide leadership to the organization as its County Extension Director.  Primary job responsibilities of this full-time position include educational program planning and delivery, budget and facilities management, and day-to-day supervision of staff.
