The Jones County Master Gardeners are having their annual spring plant and bake sale, Saturday, May 9th at the Lawrence Community Center (east parking lot) from 9 am to 11:30 pm.

Your local Early Childhood Area Board is hosting community conversations about the needs of children 0-5 years of age in Jones County.   Parents, childcare providers, educators, service providers, and community members are invited to attend.  The purpose of the conversation is to:  Learn directly from parents and those providing services to children about local and current child needs and plan for meaningful projects and changes that support children 0-5 years of age and their families.

Holly Hall has been hired as the new Jones County Extension Director for Jones County ISU Extension and Outreach, office located at 800 N Maple Street in Monticello, according to Lisa Rickels, Extension Council Chair. Holly Hall began her duties on Monday, January 5th , 2015 and will replace current Director, Joe Yedlik when he retires at the end of January.
