11/08/2009- Jones County Teen Council monthly meeting scheduled
Teen Council members will discuss, plan and prepare for the upcoming Awards Day event. The December Holiday gathering will be planned too.

11/10/2009- Jones County Master Gardener Monthly Meeting
Potluck and election of officers for following year.

11/15/2009- Jones County 4-H Family Awards Day
Note the date for the 2009 Jones County 4-H Family Awards Day. It will be held on Sunday, November 15 at 3 PM at the Main Lodge of Camp Courageous, Monticello. This location works great! There will be lots of door prizes. Every club will be asked to furnish 2 pans of bars/cookies. Lunch includes grilled burgers by the Jones County Pork Producers

11/16/2009- Parents: Friend or Foe?

11/17/2009- PQA Plus Certification Training
This is a two hour program to recieve PQA Plus certification for the swine industry. Program will cover the PQA production practices and swine production information. There is a $25.00 registration fee.

11/18/2009- Commercial Ag Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management CIC Training
The Jones County Extension office will offer a fall training session for applicators needing re-certification for categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 10 on Wednesday, November 18th at 9 am. Registration fees is $35.00 by November 11th. Late registration fee is $45.

11/23/2009- Jones County Extension Council Meeting
Extension council members will meet on Monday, November 23rd at 7 pm for monthly meeting.

01/29/2010- Confinement Site Manure Applicator Training
Confinement site (private) manure applicator certification. Continuing education to maintain or begin certification as a confinement site manure applicator in Iowa. By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.
