Iowa State University Extension and Outrach in Jones County is hosting a farmland leasing meeting on Thursday, August 6th at 6 pm to address questions that land owners, tenants or other interested individuals have regarding farmland leasing.

If May is Beef Month, June should be Grazing Month, especially in NE Iowa!  I knew June was busy but it didn’t hit me just HOW busy until I started putting together this letter.  I hope you can join us for several of these outstanding beef and grazing opportunities.

The cash rental rate information presented in this publication is from a survey of farmers, land-owners, agricultural lenders and professional farm managers. They supplied information based on their best judgements about typical cash rental rates for high, medium and low quality cropland in their counties, as well as for land devoted to production of hay, oats and pasture. The rental rates summarized in this publication do not include the value of any buildings or storage structures.
