Building Progress Photos

Construction has been completed on the new 12,000 square foot office and education center for the Johnson County Extension Service. To help fund this project Johnson County Extension has launched a building campaign to underwrite the cost of a portion of the facility. The education and conference center houses over thirty Iowa State University and Johnson County Extension staff along with meeting rooms to round out the facility.

Johnson County Extension supports many great programs including Master Gardeners, 4-H Community Clubs, Master Conservationists, Nonprofit Management Academy, Big Brothers Big Sister, Pick a Better Snack, ServSafe, Pesticide Applicator Certification, and Livestock and Crop Management to name a few. The new facility will provide for program growth in families,  agriculture, youth, business and industry, and economic development programs.

People wanting to support the project may by making on-line donations or completing the donation portion of our campaign brochure. You may also contact the Extension Office at 319-337-2145 and a donor card will be mailed to you. All donations are tax deductible. For questions contact Gene Mohling, Regional Extension Education Director at mohling@iastate.edu.
