Environmentally friendly facts about home and yard pests and lawn care.  The Ladybug Line is a phone library of short audio tapes produces by Iowa State University Extension to inform you about home pests and lawn care.

How to use the Ladybug Line with your push-button phone.

  1. Dial 341-0040. This is a free call from the Iowa City area.  Have a pencil and paper ready to take notes.
  2. Listen to the Ladybug Line greeting. Instructions for use will be given.  Main topic areas include home pests, lawn care, houseplants, annual and perennial flowers, fruits, trees and shrubs, vegetable gardening, plus master gardener seasonal topics.
  3. When the message is over, you may select another topic by following the instructions.
  4. If at any time during the message you wish to stop listening and proceed to another topic, simply press the * sign and follow instructions to select another topic.
