11/24/2009- TQA (Transport Quality Assurance) Certification Training
This is a two hour program to train swine producers, unit employees, and truckers in swine handling, loading, transport,bio-security, etc. in order to prepare for their certification in TQA. Once training is completed, participants will take a 50 question exam and must get 90% correct to receive certification from the National Pork Board.

Nutrition Education Class for Nest of Johnson County Participants. Focus will be on items which can be made at home and given inexpensively as gifts at holiday time.

The update meeting delivers the latest crop production recommendations, news and information directly from Iowa State University Extension. Topic updates include weed, insect, crop disease, and soil nutrient management. 01/02/2010- 4-H Market Beef Weigh-in
Annual weigh-in and nomination of market beef projects for the Johnson County 4-H youth in the area.

01/19/2010- Confinement Site Manure Applicator Training
Confinement site (private) manure applicator certification. Continuing education to maintain or begin certification as a confinement site manure applicator in Iowa. By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.
