Students
Are you a student of the University of Iowa? Do you want to become more
involved in the Iowa City Community? Big Brothers Big Sisters is a
great way to become more acquainted with the Johnson County community.
There are several ways for you to get involved:
- Join
the student organization BBBS@Iowa. Help to support Big Brothers Big
Sisters of Johnson County by planning activities for Bigs and Littles
as well as assisting with fundraising. What a great way to build your
resume, meet other concerned UI students, and contribute to the Iowa

- Volunteer as a School Buddy Mentor
or become a Big Sister/Big Brother. Contact our office at (319)
337-2145 or view the "Volunteer" link to learn more. The School Buddy
program requires at least one full school year committment. The
community-based program requires a full year committment.
- Are you the president of a UI
club? Plan a fun activity for Big Little Talk. BLT meetings last
approximately an hour and a half and provide a setting for matches to
play games, participate in group activities and get to know other
matches.
